Elf Child by R. F. Cook (Eadaili & the Wanderer Book I)

$20.00

War wages in the Emporadium between humans and goblins over land and gemstones. Meanwhile, in the Enchanted Forests, elves and faeries await the fulfilment of an ancient prophecy.

Brindin is sent by Umapa, the dual-gender, spiritual leader of Cabbage-Upon-Brook, on a mission to rekindle the local web of Mapa magic. Early in his journey, Brindin finds, to his alarm, that Umapa’s silent, socially withdrawn child servant, You, has followed him. Despite his misgivings, the girl shows an aptitude for foraging in the wild and for working the magic of his map. And when they meet a group of elves who embrace You, reverently calling her Forest Child, it is obvious there is much more to her than it seems.

Elf Child is the first book of the Eadaili & the Wanderer duology. It is a novel of intertwining tales of magic, self-discovery, erotic adventure, and political intrigue. And of course destiny — that in which, as You and Brindin discover, elves, faeries, goblins, ogres, trolls, and mapas all have a stake.

✨🏳️‍⚧️✨🏳️‍⚧️✨🏳️‍⚧️✨🏳️‍⚧️✨🏳️‍⚧️✨🏳️‍⚧️✨Submissions are open for the 2025 Asher MacDonald You First Award! We give this award every year to a local 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in the community who is showing exemplary action advocating for more love, inclusion, and accessibility in Nova Scotia. In the 2018 Wayves Magazine article honoring Asher by Mikaela Gorman, we remember Asher as “a selfless friend who loved unconditionally”, “a beautiful soul who never judged anyone", “a survivor... who gave of himself and saved lives”, and a person who made others “better for having known his kindness and generosity”. The recipient will get a beautiful wooden laser-etched award and a monetary portion which they can donate to a local nonprofit or community initiative of their choice that is supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in our community. 💪🏻🏳️‍⚧️To nominate a youth for the 2025 Asher MacDonald You First Award, please send an email to jay@capeandcowlcomics.ca to tell us all about a youth in our local rainbow community that is doing something outstanding to help trans and gender expansive youth find and use their voice. * Photo of Asher at Halifax Pride 2016 provided by Shaun Simpson, Photographer ...
